Dr. Katrina Mattison is a native of Orange County, NC and graduated from Orange High School. Her desire since a young age has always been to help people. Growing up in Orange County she was able to see people who could not afford health care.
Determined to reach her goals, Dr. Mattison pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, NC. While at FSU, Dr. Mattison continued to serve her community by volunteering at the Cumberland County Health Department in a Pediatric Dental office, which sparked her interest in dentistry.
Dr. Mattison went on to complete her DDS at Meharry Medical College. She continued to reach out to the community through church activities and various community projects while in Nashville, TN. Eager to come back home, Dr. Mattison continued her education in a two year General Practice Residency at UNC-CH. She focused on treating medically compromised patients and sharpened her oral surgery skills. Since July 2007, Dr. Mattison has been enthusiastic and is always smiling when it comes to treating her patients.
Dr. Mattison worked as a full time associate at the Hillsborough location from 2007 to 2009. She has returned to her roots of public service full time and continues to treat patients at our Hillsborough location two Saturday's a month.
Dr. Mattison has a six-year-old daughter named Kaylee.
